Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that there is no need to rush in the case of Alexandre Lacazette regarding his contract extension – but he will be definitely having a discussion with the player once the things have been settled down.
He joined the club on 2017 from Lyon and signed a five year deal with the club. He still has two years left in his contract as there isn’t any need to speed up the process of extension. Whereas in the case of Bukayo Saka and Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, the decisions needs to be taken with sudden action as it regards their future at Arsenal.

France coach Didier Deschamps has said that it was a tough choice to omit Alexandre Lacazette from the squad for the forthcoming internationals. The France international has struggled to earn a regular call-up to the national squad despite his consistent performances at the club level and he has once more faced the same circumstance with Wissam Ben Yedder getting the nod ahead of him.
Speaking in a press conference, Deschamps said that Lacazette has every chance of making the squad in the future and it was his personal choice to choice Ben Yedder, considering the marksman fared better than Lacazette in terms of the scoring through the season, he said: “There’s no reason for us not to see him again. Arsenal legend-turned-pundit Martin Keown has praised the attitude of Gunners striker Alexandre Lacazette after starring during the 3-2 triumph over Cardiff City. The France international had impressed from the bench in the first three league games and this earned him a start versus the Bluebirds against whom he contributed a goal and an assist.
Writing in his Daily Mail column, Keown was impressed with the way the Frenchman has performed since the start of the campaign and believes the Gunners should build the team around the former Lyon man, he penned: “I think special mention has to go to Alexandre Lacazette. As we approach the official start of the summer transfer window, all the talk at Arsenal seems to be concerning players who may leave the club.
