Gunners Emerge in Top Three Tussle

The Premier League title race looks like it could between three teams this season, as Arsenal, Manchester City, and Chelsea all appear to be the main challengers for the English crown.

Of course, Liverpool dropping points against Aston Villa at Anfield over the weekend does not put them out of the race but you can see the Reds slipping up further along the way.

Therefore, with a three horse race looking probable in the football betting odds, the Gunners need to make sure they can compete with the likes of City and Chelsea all the way until the business end of the campaign in May.

Where Arsenal may struggle at the moment is their strength in depth; just looking at City’s bench over the weekend, you could find the likes of England internationals, James Milner and Joleon Lescott, whilst not forgetting Argentine star, Sergio Aguero.

Likewise, Chelsea, in their game against Manchester United, had Ashley Cole, Frank Lampard, and Juan Mata all waiting in the wings.
Fortunately, for Arsenal, with the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Aaron Ramsey returning from injury, cover is coming but whether the north London outfit can keep City and the Blues off their heels with their current squad remains to be seen.

Manager, Arsene Wenger, of course, has the opportunity to bring in reinforcements this month and, although incoming players in the January window has been non-existent so far, it’s unlikely there will be no new additions before the end of the month.

One or two players could be the difference between going all the way in the Premier League this season and achieving just another top four finish.
